I was born July 17, 1963, to Roscoe and Eloise Collum in Chicago, IL. I have one older brother and two younger sisters. I graduated in 1981 from Calumet High School. The same year, in August, I joined the US Army as a vehicle mechanic. In December of 1981, I married my neighborhood sweetheart, Sabrina Jones. We have been married for over forty-three years and have five children and nine grandchildren. I came to know Jesus Christ as my savior in 1985. I was called to the preaching ministry in 1987. I was trained in the ministry from 1987 through 1990. I was ordained as an elder in the Church of God in Christ in 1993. My first pastorate was in Germany on Heilbronn’s US Army base.
